COOPERATION FALMOUTH
Building an autonomous and resilient Falmouth

CAN YOU FEEL IT?
The world is f***ed.
Food prices keep going up. Communities are increasingly fragmented; neighbours no longer know neighbours, and the government ignores its own people to prioritise profit.
In Falmouth, we have many of our own problems: lack of housing and extractive rents due to AirBNBs and second homes, a loss of Kernewek identity and language, and corporate threats to our beautiful marine environment.
WE WANT BETTER.
And we can build it, together.
We want a world where we can live meaningful lives. A world where we directly reap the benefits of our labour, where food is healthy and abundant, and where we have access to spaces to build community and enjoy ourselves.
Most importantly, we want a world where we can make decisions about everything that impacts our lives through direct, local democracy. We don’t want to wait for the government to give us permission to live the lives that we want.
IT STARTS IN FALMOUTH.
We’re taking back control of our lives.
Developing systems of mutual aid: voluntary and collaborative exchanges of skills and resources to lessen our dependence on money.
Supporting existing and new grassroots initiatives and cooperatives to build food resilience, housing resilience, solidarity, community, biodiversity, the circular economy, and more.
Building systems of direct democracy, such as through people’s assemblies, where we can all get together and decide what we want to act on to better our own lives.
WANT TO JOIN US?
We aren’t asking for volunteers.
We’re asking for you to take part in building a more resilient Falmouth, for yourself, for your community, and for future generations.
A radical transformation requires radical action. No one else will save us from corruption, the climate crisis, or a government who doesn’t care about its citizens. Only we can save ourselves.
